Magazines and Memories Fundraiser PDF Print E-mail

We kicked off this new fundraiser last Friday with the students and it was an amazing success! The students raised $15,000 in profit in just 59 minutes and were rewarded with donuts! The fundraiser products consist of personalized photo books, calendars, and holiday cards and over 600 magazine subscriptions including People, Sports Illustrated, SI Kids, Reader's Digest, Everyday with Rachel Ray, Good Housekeeping, and so much more! Ask family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and local business professionals or service centers with waiting rooms (doctors, salons, etc.) Your child should have brought home a packet including order forms and other information regarding the fundraiser. We will be checking team progress on Friday, August 15th and the final turn in day for orders will be Friday, August 22nd. The student goal is 10 orders! Please collect money and the band parent should write a check made payable to Opelika Band. We hope you are as excited about this fundraiser as we are!

Alumni Band 2014 PDF Print E-mail

Dinner provided by Chuck's BBQ. 
Registration fee ($35) includes alumni band t-shirt, ticket to game, and dinner.
*Additional family members are invited to attend game and dinner for cost of ticket and dinner ($15 total).

  • Log on to www.charmsoffice.com, and click the “ENTER/LOG IN” link at upper right.
  • Locate the “PARENT/STUDENT/MEMBERS LOGIN” section of the web page.
  • Login to your child’s program account using the following School Code:  OpelikaHSBand
  • This will bring up the main parent page.  This will allow you to look at the “public” calendar for your organization, event list, handouts and other files.
  • Clicking on an event on the calendar brings up the details for that event, such as times, attendance requirements, volunteer opportunities, and other event details.  Note that if a calendar event is specifically assigned to your child, it may NOT show up on this calendar – check the “Student” calendar after entering the student’s ID number (see below).
  • When you enter your child’s ID NUMBER (the school INFONOW Student ID number) as a Student Area Password, another more detailed screen appears with even more options to view your student’s uniform assignments, music assignments, financial records, forms and inventory.  Once you have first entered this ID number, you may create your own, unique password by clicking on the “lock”  (Change Password) icon.
  • Two areas in which you can help the director maintain his/her records:
    • Update Personal Information – if the director has allowed it, you  may help make changes to your child’s student information page (such as updating phone numbers and email addresses if they change) to help the teacher communicate with you more effectively. Click the Personal Info button.
    • You can view important Financial Information and request information via email.
    • Load and Print MUSIC for 2014 Marching Band Show and updates to Stands Tune Library.
  • You will also see links to enter Practice Logs, view Grades, and use the Recording Studio if the teacher has enabled these options.
  • Most importantly, the parent page assists both you and the teacher to communicate with each other.  Stay up to date on what’s going on with your student!
